AAPI to host Global Healthcare Summit 2026 at KIMS, Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Jan 5 (UNI) The American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (AAPI) will host the Global Healthcare Summit (GHS) 2026 at the Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Bhubaneswar, from January 9 to 11.
The summit will bring together eminent physicians, researchers, healthcare leaders, and innovators from India and the United States.
AAPI President Dr. Amit Chakrabarty and President of Odisha Physicians of America MD Dr. Atasu Nayak said the summit reflects AAPI’s ongoing mission to advance global health, strengthen India–U.S. healthcare collaboration, and promote excellence in medical education, research, and clinical care.
The AAPI GHS 2026 will revolve around a forward-looking theme focusing on Technology, Innovation, and Global Health Capacity Building,they stated.
The extensive academic program will feature advanced Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions, AI-driven clinical insights, cutting-edge surgical demonstrations, hands-on workshops, public health initiatives, and special platforms for medical students and residents.
Key highlights of the summit include robotic surgery presentations, a high-impact plenary session on the role of Artificial Intelligence in global medical practice, and emergency and resuscitation workshops using advanced SimMan3G simulation technology.
Specialty-focused forums will address major health challenges such as Diabetes and Obesity, Tuberculosis, Critical Care Medicine, and Metabolic Syndrome. In keeping with its holistic approach to healthcare, the summit will also feature dedicated tracks on Ayurveda, Integrative Medicine, Yoga, and Meditation.
Beyond academic discussions, the summit will emphasize community health initiatives, including a Mass Hands-Only CPR Program targeting the training of 1,200–1,500 participants, HPV awareness and vaccination drives, and the AAPI Stem Cell Registry Drive.
A special CME session titled “Women in Healthcare: Challenges” will focus on leadership development, professional growth, and gender equity in medicine,Dr,Chakrabarty said .
The key themes of AAPI GHS 2026 include Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery, Emergency and Critical Care, Lifestyle and Integrative Medicine, Chronic Disease Management, Public Health Initiatives, Medical Student and Resident Development, and Women’s Leadership in Healthcare.
